A rising star. Actors and performance are her thing - capable of the big occasion and getting remarkable performances from actors. She also has the knack of bringing the best out of non-actors and street cast. Her work is authentic, believable and fresh. Selected for the 2023 Emerging Women Filmmakers Incubator with the Directors and Editors Guild NZ, Harriett is carving out a name for herself on the NZ film landscape as one to watch. Her first short film, ANNA, won the Jury Choice Award at the Diversity in Cannes Short Film Showcase and won Best Acting at the Women's Independent Film Festival. Her 2nd film, LANNI’S SPACE, won a special category award at the NASA and Houston Cinema Arts Festival.

In addition to directing TVCs, Harriett also works as a casting director, stretching her creative brain across a variety of personal projects. One of which is an ongoing series, single/single, that allows Harriett to explore one-take monologues with actors whose work she greatly admires. Another passion of Harriett's is theatre, directing and co-writing, the 2025 sold-out season of her debut play, Big Time, now in further development.

As much as she can pull at the heartstrings, she also has a wicked sense of humour. Mix all this with an incredible drive for excellence, and you’ve got quite the cocktail. Award-winning, congenial, organised and absolutely delightful.
