Rising Film Con recruit nabs top AUT award
Harriett Maire, daughter of the illustrious Renaud Maire (DOP) and filmmaking intern at - the not quite nearly as illustrious - Film Construction, receives the Media Works Television and Screen Production Graduate of the Year award for AUT University.
Maire recently completed her Bachelor of Communications, majoring in Television and Screen Production with an average of no less than A+. Maire's final project was an 8 and a half minute short film titled ANNA, which follows the actions and interactions of a young woman on the autism spectrum. It is a story about how Anna copes with unplanned changes, and how people react to autism in the public sphere. Anna is a multi-faceted individual, not a victim of her disorder.
ANNA is currently being submitted to film festivals around the world, and sadly, must currently be kept private. For the time being, you can check out the trailer below.
The Film Construction team are immensely proud of Harriett's achievement, and we all look forward to what the future brings for this talented young filmmaker. See Harriett's reel here.
